More and more, the objects that support our daily life are connected to the Internet to exchange data with each other and to shape our behavior. This technological trend, called the Internet of Things, or IoT, was the central theme of FISL17 and consists, for its inexorable character, a subject of high interest and relevance. In FISL18, we will discuss the news and trends in the area, such as the popularization of smartphones, which increasingly demands the development of applications integrated with other computing platforms and with IoT devices.
