The Fisl18 will have a free culture program with organization of the GT-culture, including lectures, talking wheels, debates, movie shows, night activities and parties.

The GT-culture is formed by a multidisciplinary group of free culture activists who collaborate to promote the theme of free culture within the international Forum of Free Software.

 

CROWDFUNDING Campaign

The goal of the fundraising campaign is to assist the free culture actions of the FISL18 and the realization of the event as a whole. In view of the current scenario of strong setback in the government support to the actions of free culture in Brazil, the GT-culture wants to promote an intense programming focused on this theme. This working group, with more than 10 years of activity within the FISL, is responsible for organizing free culture activities. The activities seek to approach hackers, artists, cultural producers and general public through a program formed by debates, disconferences, workshops, artistic shows and nightly fraternizations. The activities happen daily within the event space and also during the night, in various cultural points of the city of Porto Alegre. We have already promoted multi-disciplinary debates on contemporary topics such as Creative Commons, free culture, free electromagnetic spectrum, culture points, feminism, open data and political hackerism, in addition to conducting workshops on cultural production , graphic design, audio and video editing, video streaming, etc. We want to enable a culture programming that is as reflective and articulating as inclusive and social integration.
